Opinions please!

So, this is a tentative new design theme. The "Freak Show" thing is supposed to represent my life (and all the freaks in it, including me), as well as my love of NYC (since this is the Freak Show sign at Coney Island). I had a few complaints that the light font on dark background was hard to read and gave people seizures, which sucks because then I'm losing readers! Thoughts? Like? Dislike?

  4. I like this better than your previous one. I personally am not a fan of reading white or light colored text on a black or dark background. It wouldn't prevent me from visiting a blog I enjoyed though.

    I think your "Freak Show" theme is good, but not being from NY, I wouldn't know where this is from (just FYI), and I have to look closely to see that it's a photograph. It looks great though!

    Two things:

    1. How do I learn to do things like this?
    2. Does my counter and etc start over if I change my template?

  11. Oh yay! So glad you all like it!

    KMcAwesome - 1. I tend to Google things like "creating static Blogger pages" and then following the instructions of other bloggers who were nice enough to document the basic html needed to alter the out-of-the-box templates. It's a learning curve. But keep in mind you can always Preview your changes to a template before saving them and revert back to your existing template if you don't like it or screw it up. 2. No, your counter will not start over by switching a template. It's just changing your design. Everything else (gadgets, counter, etc.) will stay the same.

  13. Thanks for the help! I will have to figure out what the hell "static" is since I am too embarassed to ask.

    I'm pretty sure it is what happens whenever I touch my car door during the winter.

  14. I really like the like. It is quirky, fun and sassy, all like you. I got the same complaints about he dark background. I am not as tech savvy as you so I have hired someone to redo my blog design so it won't give people seizures.
